| What You and Our Church Can Do |
- Serve a meal. Sign up to serve and/or bring a meal to our resident for dinner or to the community for lunch or breakfast. We serve 3 meals a day 365 days a year.
- Encourage your pastor to come and preach at one of our chapel services. Invite members of your congregation to come and support him and worship with our residents.
- Become a mentor or encourage your husband to become a mentor. In our burgeoning mentoring program our aim is to connect each resident with Christian mentor in a one-on-one mentor to resident ratio.
- Bring your praise and worship team out to lead worship at one of our chapel services. Invite members of your congregation to come and support them and worship with our residents.
- Take a mission trip here in Frederick. Decided to help us out with many of the many maintenance needs here at the Mission. There are always walls to be painted and lawns to mowed. An “at home mission trip” can be just as meaningful and is more family and wallet friendly!!
- Make a care package for all the residents (approximately 40). Our residents never want for food, but sometimes a care package is still much appreciated. Think about what you would send in a care package to a friend a college, the same sorts of things are always appreciated by our residents. Be sure to include a note of well wishes or an uplifting verse of scripture.
- Plant a flower bed and be dedicated to its up keep. Share the beauty of God’s creation with those who might have lost sight of it.
- Make homemade treats for the residents. Something homemade with a personal touch is always appreciated. Make you congregation’s favorite recipe and share it with the residents.
- Do a special project for a holiday. Bring a Christmas tree and ornaments for a room at the Mission. Make Easter baskets for the residents. Put together Christian valentines on Feb. 14th to remind the residents that Jesus is their Valentine every day of the year.
- Call about many regular volunteering opportunities available. Become a regular volunteer in our learning center or administrative office.
- Come up with an idea of your own!!!!

| What Youth Groups Can Do |
- Make a mix CD of your favorite Christian music. Many of our residents are new Christians and do not have any Christian music. Make one copy for each of our residents. (approximately 40)
- Serve a meal. Sign up for one time a month to serve a meal in our kitchen.
- Come to the Beacon house and bring your favorite game. Contact the Mission to find out when some of the residents might have some free time. Bring your favorite game to share, or join some of them in a game of basket ball and for fellowship.
- Have your worship band play for a Wednesday night service. Bring the rest of your youth group for support and fellowship.
- Do yard work. We can always use help with the yard work. Come out and weed, cut and plant!
- Plant a flower bed on Mission property and be dedicated to keep it up.
- Paint a mural on out brick wall in the yard. Design it yourself. Painting a picture of a Bible story or a picture with an inspirational verse is always a good idea.
- Make snack bags for all the residents. Our residents never want for food, but sometimes a care package is still much appreciated. Think about what you would send in a care package to a friend a college, the same sorts of things are always appreciated by our residents. Be sure to include a note of well wishes or an uplifting verse of scripture.
- Organize our food pantry. Come in to shelve and help organize our food pantry.
- Decorate a bulletin board. We have several bulletin boards at the Mission that need to be updated and decorated on a regular basis. Come up with a theme, lesson, or Biblical story and decorate the board!
- Come up with an idea of your own!
